App Actions

Right-click any item in a dock to see its context menu with available actions.

Application actions

When the app is running:

  • Hide — Hide the application’s windows

  • Quit — Quit the application gracefully (force quits if it doesn’t respond)

  • Reveal in Finder — Show the app in Finder

When the app is not running:

  • Open — Launch the application

  • Reveal in Finder — Show the app in Finder

Folder actions

  • Open — Open the folder in Finder

  • Open in New Window — Open in a new Finder window

  • Reveal in Finder — Select the folder in its parent directory

If you chose another app in Open folders with, folder clicks use that app instead of Finder.

Icon actions

Every item also has these actions:

  • Change Icon — Replace the icon with a custom one (see Custom Icons)

  • Revert to Original Icon — Restore the default icon (only shown if a custom icon is set)

  • Remove from Dock — Remove the item from this dock

Item settings

Use Configure or the gear icon in the Items tab to change item-specific options such as display name, folder tint, folder hover label, or file extension visibility.
